Hey guys
Great to see and hear you again! Booked the trip from
FL to OR the 26th of april thru the 30th. Just to get two days in a row of Soulvax. Back home now, wishing I could go to just one of the future dates on your calender! Who knows -
The Bite of Oregon is around the corner! (Did that one once
before with you, had a blast!) Until the next one,
your fan and friend,
Mike
You guys are great! Cant wait to dance to you again!
Loved you guys today in Reedsport. I see your calendar of events on your site here but how can we find you in Portland when you're at your normal location? I don't see that anywhere, just a date in March. Looking forward to seeing you again!! Great stuff!!
Any plans to come to L.A. in the near future? Would love to see you in person.
Got in under the wire for your Incomparable show JMaks! Celebrate Good Times! Com'on!
We love all of you. You are all so talented, yet so much better as you feed on each others talent. Wow. What a blessing you are to your audience. Truly a blessing. Thank you for sharing your gifts with us. FYI Kristina and I were at your last two Jimmy Mak's events. I'm the 6'3" dude with the grey goatee, and she's got all the natural dark curly hair. We love taking in your soul, funk, and vibe. You make the night simply melt away in pure bliss. Thank you, each of you, for what you are doing and who you are!
Loved Jamaican Funk!
Thoroughly impressed! Chaka Kahn, Stevie Wonder, and much more! I was hoping for some Earth Wind and Fire considering your horn section, and I was NOT disappointed! I caught myself mesmerized by the vocals several times. Can't wait to see you again :)
Max, I was in Eugene last weekend when you played for the Ducks halftime show. I came up with my son and we spoke to Edwin but had not idea I was that close to you and didn't put it together. How the heck are you buddy. I just found out from Mike K that you were in the band, only got to hear a couple of songs but it sounded great, like old times. Take Care
just listend to your music for the first time, boy do you guys JAM!!!!!!!! I live in Las Vegas, If you ever come this was I'd like to see Your Band
Coming to Stevenson,Wa on the 24th for my birthday, could have gone to see ZZ top. I enjoyed the band in Potland and would like to hear you again
Heard you guys at the Bite of Oregon. Have not heard you since the old days of Baccus in Vancouver. Was great to see you still "BRING IT". I new what to expect from the Horn section but when you get true muscians who have been to school and know their "AXE" you get what you guys have. As good a horn section as you hear on commercial radio. Short of being "Tower" themselves your horns are a show by themselves. Add a rythmn section that grooves as fine as any who have seen great fame and fortune and you have the finest instrumental band around. However, I have to say that I was "kinda knocked outa my socks" with your "White Stevie Wonder". As the set continued, you guys got better and better. This is what the best of the best do in any organization of any kind. It was as fun a time as I have had listening to a band in quite some time. My wife loved it and it was a great Birthday present. I hope to see you guys in the clubs in the coming months. Hearing you in a small venue again will be Outrageous. Thanks for such energy and passion on the stage. I envy you guys being able to entertain a crowd like that and have that much personal fun. Please keep this band going for generations to come. It is a musical jewel that simply can't go away when people can't play or sing anymore. Soul Vaccination is now a "legacy" of professionalism, musicianship, and pure fun your kids deserve to hear when they get older. Continue to love the music, and NEVER EVER EVER ALLOW YOUR INCREDIBLE MUSCIANSHIP TO BE COMPROMISED. You play at such a high level that most bands cannot comprehend how good you are individually and as "one". Thanks for playing Earth, Wind and Fire the way it should be played. And Stevie Wonder would be proud of how good you guys are.
Enjoyed the heck outa the Monmouth show. small town, small crowd great band.
The roots run deep, nice night, gang
I bought the triple pack to share.
Sounding great as always, hope to get to Applewood!

Funk and soul were among the many genre's of music I was raised listening to.
And, Louis, Edwin Hawkins' 'Oh, Happy Day?'. That's one of my all time favorites.
- I grew up in the Bay and have loved horn driven funk for years, TOP, Cold Blood etc..and when I moved north to the "Couve" I thought I left my favorite music behind - stumbled across you at the Clackamas Town Center last night and loved your show - you are some really talented musicians - keep up the good work -

My son caught your show at Jimmy Mak's last night (5/14/11) and loved it! He was trying to tell me about all the great stuff you did but couldn't remember everything. Could you publish a set list? I think your music is amazing! I love the Tower of Power you do, would love to see u do more of them only because u have the horns and the capability to do them so much justice. Just read Jim Mauldin's post. I lived at the same base in Anchorage as a kid; my dad was career Air Force. We were stationed there during the big earthquake. I can't wait to hear the band tonight. It will be my first time. Living in the dorms at OSU in 1975, listening to Earth Wind and Fire, Tower of Power, Teddy Pendergrass, etc., loved it!!
I saw them for 1st time at at Mt Tabor theater. I have seen Tower of Power every time they came to Portland back in the day. also Earth wind and fire along with Average White band and other soul concerts, and I have to say it was like Watching Tower of Power Live! This is a great group one of the best I have ever seen in Portland! Totally enjoyed show along with 6 other friends any my daughter who just turned 21 in Dec. She had a great time and thought you were great. Knew the songs from James Brown to Chaaka Kahn. Truly enjoyed it. Will be seeing you again!

Where are you at New Years Eve?
Really enjoyed SV at Charlies last Saturday night. What a great evening. I love the music and the bands' stage presence.
I was stationed at Elmendorf AFB, Alaska with Mark Wyatt from 80-82. We jammed a little back then. He was a great talent then and still is. Your TOP covers are great.

HI everyone. I am the big tall Greek gal that danced the night away with you tonight. My guys are asleep and I am wide awake. He ! He ! :0) My family came to see you March 19 at Jimmy Max. I was mortified when my 8 year old son and his 8 year old friend were bored to death during your performance. ( we sat behind the speakers to the left of the stage)I want you ALL to know I saw you first with my sons Greek teacher I think in April. You said then to bring your children on March 19th so I did. BOTH times I was not able to dance because of the dance floor at Jimmy Max. I came tonight and for the first time I was able to really enjoy the night. MOSTLY because you were in Vancouver NOT at that small little want a be dance floor at Jimmy Max. I can't thank you ALL for doing what you do. You got this stay at home almost 48 year old mom out of the house and let me release some amazing energy. I have your CD which I bought the first night AND I AM WAITING FOR YOUR NEXT TO COME OUT ????? Soon right !!!!!!!! You all are my theraphy. I dance to you at home because I am trying to avoid surgery so PLEASE keep on jammin. I have never heard this music before untill I met Soul Vaccination. OMG!!! Have I just became your groupie. Dear Leah,
My girlfriend's 12-year old daughter got to see you play last night at Jimmy Mak's. She has expressed an interest in learning bass guitar after seeing Tal Wilkenfeld on the Crossroads DVD. I thus thought it might be inspirational for her to hear someone live, thus I brought her to see you play. She was VERY impressed by your playing, singing, and by the fact that you were having a blast! Thank you for being a positive role model.
Leon
Dave,
Thanks for being such a gracious host to my girlfriend and her three children at Jimmy Mak's last night. Even though they may not have expressed it to you on their way out, they had a wonderful evening and really enjoyed the music. Thank you ever so much; we hope to see you again soon!

Catch you at the Gemini whenever I can. Always a good time. It is amazing how when you start the music people can't stay away from the dance floor.
You were the stars of the Saturday night shows at the 'Bite'!
Hi there Soul Vax. It was great to see you all again at the Bite of Oregon. Robin you were great as usual! My history with your band goes back a little farther then I had thought. I first saw Soul Vax many moons ago, and then as age or maturity or family crept into "life" my club nights rapidly dwindled. However, A few years have passed and I was re-introduced to your band again at the BBQ & Brew at Lincoln City. Robin and Vicky befriended a friend and I. We shared a table prior to the show - and helped Carl unsticky himself from the ribs!
Anyway, it was great to meet you (Robin, Carl, Vicky & Mike), it made the show so much more fun, personal and interesting. As a band you have great presence and do seem to enjoy yourselves. That's really appealing to the audience.
Robin - don't forget to hock those CD's and t-shirts at all the places you play, along with the website. Iam always doing what I do best, being in the marketing mode!
Keep on Rockin! I really love your sound - especially the horns, they are wonderful.
All my best - Roberta
a friend and i saw you guys at the rose festival friday 6/3/05, and thought you were wonderful!!!! we slipped through the fence to talk to you and we successfully made it. so even though we said it then, i'll say it again. you were wonderful. thank you for the great music, hope to see you soon!
WOW!!! Those vocals are incredible Robin. You are so extremely talented. I can't wait to see you perform live.
Robin,
I had no idea! The CD you gave Ed blew me away. I was expecting a garage band then heard this wonderfully produced album. WOW! That's all I can say. WOW! Yell over the fence the next time you see me...unless I see you first. :)

Hello to you all from New Orleans. I'm playing with "Plan B" at The Old Opera House 601 Bourbon St 5 days a week. Keep on groovin.
Much love, Steve
I love big band type formats. It creates a versatility, not available, in smaller bands.
I was as the Candlelight last night (March 19) and so very much enjoyed the whole evening of music. I had seen you play years ago, and I must say, you are 100 times better now. I was sorry when the evening ended. Great job!!!!!
Saw the show at the Gemini Sat. 3/12. You were sooo incredible!!!!! Robin and the whole band sounded just PHENOMENAL!!!!
Tell Bryan to get a new hat, LMAO, that is one funny pose there Bryan!

Friend of mine Eric Lee has told me about you so I am looking forward to hear your band perhaps tonite.
You guys should have cartoons on your web-site. No mistakes. And tell your trumpet-player dude to not jay-walk during Mardi Gras!!!
A friend too me to The Inn at the Quay to hear you all play. Since that evening I have seen you perform several times and have become a fan that tells everyone I know about your group. Great music, great sound, and great energy! Thank you for sharing your wonderful talents!

Thank you, once again, for the fantastic music! You just keep getting better and better! I took lots of pictures at the Halloween party and I anxiously await their development. Not only are you all tremendously talented but you are wonderful individuals I am glad to know......I remain your biggest fan!
